I am new to the Dedicant path, and interested in the blog group. I joined ADF in September, inspired first by Bonewit's writing, then after a further sense of connectedness with the principles and ideals of ADF the more I read.

Most unintentionally, I have been pagan in spirit since I was old enough to notice my feelings of connectedness to nature. Now, at 41, I'm seeking to deepen my understanding and in so honoring of nature, the spirits, the deities and my ancestors.

I attended Samhain at Shining Lakes Grove in Ann Arbor, MI, and I really liked it. I hope to return soon.

My hearth culture is yet to to be defined, so many influences. I continue to read, listen, observe.

I enjoy gardening, writing, playing music and singing, painting, and virtually any outdoor adventuring. I love good food, drink, and stimulating conversation. My most valued treasures are those you can't see with your eyes.

In the real world people call me Christian, but here I will use Creepythyme.

Cheers and bright blessings

slow. easy.

Breathing consciously takes focus.

Trees are harder to understand in the winter, so sleepy.

Cold cold cold. Icicles and snow blow blow.

Setting near a polarity, remembering the Polaris snow machine.

The world we walk in lobbies for materialism.

Plant seeds deep in the invisible world.

consulting the tree

Continuing to consult the tree. Steaming in the sun. Centered somewhere.

Cernunos, Diana, Mannanan.

Their influences blur and mystify.

They came before and made this for us.

Shine on into eternity.

Joining the Druids

Oct. 10th, 2010 | 09:04 am

At about 7:30 on the evening of September 22nd, 2010, I decided to join the Druids. She, as the Harvest moon was full, and Jupiter was at his brightest and best hung directly beneath her in the eastern sky. I could see them both through the trees behind the house, they were strong and beautiful. As this was also the equinox, some were calling it a "Super Harvest Moon".

The path to Ár nDraíocht Féin for me was lead by Isaac Bonewits through Real Magic and Real Energy, rightly so. I had not heard about his recent passing until after I had completed my membership and read it on the website. I have felt a drawing to him for several months. His words helped make connections within me to ideas and findings of my own to real tangible new concepts and approaches to the world of magic. Isaac was a breath of fresh air coming from Crowley. I know Isaac had some roots in Michigan and I had hoped to meet him one day and shake his hand. I thank him for his gift and wish him well in the next world.
